Yellow Flag Status

Hi Summerside,

We are now flying the Flags on Yellow as of today, April 24, 2024

Despite the desire to use the lake during this warmer weather, there’s still an increased risk due to cold water temperatures. Current lake temperatures are at 5 degrees Celsius. Please note that personal watercrafts or swimming are prohibited until warmer water temperatures are deemed safe. ENTRY PARK will remain CLOSED until further notice, but fishing in the lake is permitted.

As indicated in the information about our flag system, which can be found on our website, Yellow flags mean the following:

Potential elevated risk of using the lake. The lake is open, but please check the SSRA website prior to use for details regarding increased risk, and exercise caution and discretion prior to and/or during use.
