1. What are the Park's hours of operation?
Typically the park hours are directly related to the amount of daylight and the usage of the park,however hours may change without notice. Please check www.summerside-connect.com for updated park hours.
Summer: approximately mid May to mid August: 10:00am to 10:00pm Monday-Friday and 9:00am to 10:00pm Saturday-Sunday and Holidays
Fall: approximately September: 10:00am to 8:00pm Monday-Sunday, October & November:
10:00am – 5:00pm Monday-Sunday
Winter: approximately December to March: 10:00am to 9:00pm Monday-Sunday
Spring: approximately March to May: 10:00am to 8:00pm Monday-Sunday
2. Who can enter the Park?
Registered members of the Summerside Residents Association who are in good standing.
Members may bring up to 10 (ten) guests per household per day.
3. Can membership cards be issued to my children?
Yes, but only to children 12 years of age or older with proof of age provided (Birth Certificate or
Alberta Health Care Card).
4. Can I bring guests into the Park?
Yes, members over the age of 18 are permitted 10 (ten) guests per household per day. Members between the ages of 12 and 17 are permitted 2 (two) guests per household per day. If a household has more than 10 guests a Group Booking is required and must be submitted to the office at least 2 business days in advance of the event. There are a maximum of 3 (three) Group Bookings permitted per day and bookings can be submitted up to one month in advance. All guests firstAND last names must be provided at least 2 business days in advance. Guests with incomplete names will not be granted access and no names can be added to the list after the 2 business day deadline.
5. Can we fish on the Lake?
Yes, both you and your guests can fish. No license is required. No bait of ANY KIND is permitted. Catch and release is MANDATORY and the use of barbless hooks is MANDATORY.
6. Is the Lake stocked?
Yes, we do stock the lake.
7. Can we use the tennis courts?
Yes, the courts are available on a first come, first serve basis, with a time limit of 45 minutes during busy periods, unless lessons organized by the Association are in progress.
8. Are there boats available?
The Association provides a number of boats including row boats, canoes, kayaks and pedal boats at no cost. You must be 16 years or age or older to use a boat unless accompanied by an adult.
Life jackets must be worn at all times while using a boat.
9. Are pets allowed into the Park?
No.
10. What rules apply to alcohol in the Park?
Alcoholic beverages and, any glass containers are not permitted.
11. What about bicycles in the Park?
Bicycles, rollerblades/skates, scooters, and skateboards are not allowed in the Park.
12. Is there a facility at the Park that I can book for a function?
Yes, the Association has a Beach Club facility for rent by members. Please visit the Forms section for more details.
13. Can alcohol be served at a function in the Beach Club?
Yes, but you are required to obtain a Liquor License available from any retail liquor store.
14. Are there BBQ Pits?
Yes, they are located just south of the tennis courts.
15. Does Summerside provide the charcoal briquettes?
No, the member must bring in their own briquettes’.
